function of " /, +, - " among the practice.

Having used MB 8 long ago I was anxious for this product to review my skills. But guess what? As per their manual some MB versions do not allow you to customize your lessons AT ALL! So you take their test and are forced to do any/every lesson they dictate and have no control at all--THIS PROGRAM IS A WASTE! It may be great for beginners (MB 8 was) but with no ability to custom any lessons it's a waste for other typists... It's going in the trash now... The font blows too and even the games are hard to read from MB 8... Welcome to the trash can...

I have used other typing tools before, but after one 20 minutes lesson with Mavis Beacon I felt more confident and was learning the keys way better then the other program. It should be on anyones must buy list.

I had no problem with installation or compatibility of the software. The lessons progress quickly so you must keep an eye on how fast you can go. This is still software, which means you still have to make your own decisions whether as how much practice you need before jumping to the next lesson. The software won't do the thinking for you.
I bought this for my 10 yo, which means I am still looking over her work. If she's just learned new keys but needs more practice before jumping to the next lesson that includes more new keys, she plays more chameleon games. Once she is ready and confident, she moves forward. Even I began to do some practice myself! I recommend it as long as you're willing to take your own responsibility in the 'thinking' part.
