software freezes and buttons dont respond Jul 19, 2010 don't know if I just got a dud, but only 3 months in, the menu button stopped working and when I zoom the shot button freezes up too. Its a crap shoot if this is going to work every time I take it out of my bag. Its also bulky because it takes regular batteries which run out SO quickly. I just wish I had spent an extra 60 bucks and bought the Sony cybershot which has way more zoom and MP (and what i ended up purchasing). This is my third canon that has stopped working on me, shan't be buying any more.

a cannon camera that isnot designed for senior citizens Jun 13, 2010 I purchased this camera because of the eye piece, since ive had problems using other type focusing systems.I found the camera operation to be very complex.During my initial testing of the camera the pictures that I took were of very poor quality when I reviewed them on the camera lcd After taking 8 test pictures the camera stopped working. I attempted to get it working again by contacting cannon but I had no luck. The camera has been returned to cannon for repair. This camera is not for the average senior citizen.

Great little camera for its category Jan 04, 2010 I will give it 5 stars because it is a great little camera for its category of small point and shoot. You aren't going to always get professional SLR quality images, but that's not what this camera is. (Also, you can get better battery life if you get a set of re-chargeable NiMH batteries instead of using regular alkaline AAs.)
The video clips are surprisingly sharp and clear on this camera, rivaling those on the Canon SD1200. I took some indoor family photos at Christmas, and this camera's photos were actually somewhat sharper than the very same images taken with a Sony DSC-H20, which has bad indoor noise.
The camera has easy to use features and buttons and a sturdy build. I like that it has a rounded grip on the right side. I also like the easy access ISO button.
One bad thing was that I took some of my photos using an indoor scene mode, because in the LCD screen they looked so nice and warm. However, after viewing them on a computer in Photoshop, those photos were actually too orange. So don't be deceived by what you see on the screen, apparently the color there is not totally accurate. I should have just taken the photos in Auto mode.
I love the cool design and colors of this camera. I bought the white one because it reminded me of my Electra Rosie bike. So I stuck one of my little red rose stickers that came with my bike on the camera, and now they match! Not that I'll be using my camera while I ride the bike, but still. The camera looks really cool. The white one also looks like a little Apple computer.
Great lil camera on the GO Dec 31, 2009 I am a Flight Attendant for a major USA carrier and travel alot internationally and domestic. It is small enough to stick inside my tote bag and travels very well in a front pocket should I need it on the go. Takes awesome pictures with just a click. I have not had any issues with this at all. I have also gotten so many compliments.
